A demonstration of how claims work at Elsewhere

Hi. I am in Lisbon and I saw a doctor this morning. A chest infection, nothing dramatic. Can I claim for the visit?
Cam · AI assistant
Sorry to hear that, and I hope you are mending. I can file this for you now. When did you see the doctor, and what did the visit cost?
Member
This morning, a clinic in Alfama. 85 euros.
Cam · AI assistant
Thank you. Two more things and your file is complete: a photo of the clinic receipt, and your policy number.
Member
Receipt attached. My policy number is ELS-2026-0417.
Cam · AI assistant
That is everything. Your file is complete: this morning's clinic visit, the receipt, and your policy. It has gone to the claims team at our insurer. A person there makes the decision, not me, and a complete file is the fastest way to get one.

That was easier than I expected.

Good. That is how it should feel. We will write to you the moment there is news.

Everything on this site belongs to one of two lists: what the product does at launch, and what we are building next. Nothing on the second list is live yet.
Join our in-person events in covered countries, to meet others in your space, connect and network. We do not only protect your health, wealth and assets, we give you a platform to meet other nomads where you are.

Why we exist
We are building Elsewhere for people who live between countries, because we are those people. Insurance has always treated them as an edge case. We think they are the point.
So the machine does what machines do honestly: quoting, paperwork, claims intake at three in the morning. People keep what must stay human: the licence, the risk, and every decision that touches your money.
The model
No named competitors. This is the pattern we kept meeting, and what we built instead.
The price
Elsewhere
Priced from the insurer's rate book in force on your travel dates. Same inputs, same premium, every time.
A typical pattern
Prices that often move with when and where you buy.
The questions
Elsewhere
Ask anything, any hour, and a real answer in seconds.
A typical pattern
Office hours, a queue, and a script.
The claim
Elsewhere
A conversation that builds a complete file; a person at the insurer decides.
A typical pattern
Forms and a wait, with silence in between.
The relationship
Elsewhere
A membership that carries on between trips.
A typical pattern
A policy that ends when the trip does.
Operations
Elsewhere's day to day is run by four AI assistants. Each has a narrow job, a fixed set of tools, and people above it with the final word.
A sample exchange
Am I covered for a year away?
Up to 365 days at a time. Tell me your dates and I will read your exact price from the rate book.
Quotes and cover questions
Finds your price by calling the rating engine and explains the cover, citing the exact clause it comes from.
Your price is locked to the insurer's official rates. Nobody, human or AI, can quote you a different one.
A sample exchange
How do I cancel my policy?
I prepare the cancellation and show you exactly what changes. Nothing happens until you confirm.
Your policy, after you buy
Looks up your policy, explains what it means, and prepares changes such as cancellation, always with your confirmation first.
Policy terms are policy terms. Anything unusual goes straight to a person who can actually decide.

I need to make a claim.
Let us start with the documents your claim needs, so your file reaches the insurer complete.
Claims, from first notice
Takes first notice of your claim, tells you exactly which documents are needed, and files a complete record for the insurer.
Every claim is decided by the licensed insurer. Cam makes sure your file reaches them complete, so it is decided fast.

Do I need insurance for a Schengen visa?
For a short-stay Schengen visa, yes: at least EUR 30,000 of medical cover. The embassy is the authority; I will show you the official source.
Visa and entry information
Shares what the official sources say about visas and entry for covered destinations, including where insurance is a formal visa requirement.
Vera shares official information, never personal advice. Your case belongs with the embassy or a registered adviser.
